… it’s your reasoning that makes you an idiot.

Say you support Romney because you (or your parents probably) are wealthy, and you don’t want to pay taxes. That doesn’t make you stupid. Selfish and irresponsible, maybe, but not stupid. 

Say you support Romney because he will invade Iran and you think invading Iran is a great idea. That’s a little dense but really it’s more alarmingly imperialistic and short-sighted than it is stupid. 

Now, if you support Romney because Obama is a “marxist socialist communist”, you’re an idiot.

If you support Romney because blah blah blah birth certificate blah, you’re an idiot.

If you support Romney because you want to “take America back”, ask yourself first, who exactly are you taking America back from? Consider your answer carefully, because you might be an idiot.

Construct an argument beyond slogans and rumors for chrissakes. At least the Ayn Randians have blind self-interest as a motivation, instead of dumb illuminati conspiracy theories. Of course, I hate liberatarians too, but at least you can hold a conversation with them for a few minutes…
