Fire Walk With Me

Yesterday our friend/neighbor’s cat was killed by a dog someone was walking through the neighborhood.

We loved this cat. She used to stop by our apartment and stroll inside like she owned the place, get some attention from us, and then be on our way. My SO especially was very fond of her, she tended to show up whenever he was having a hard time and she always made him feel better.

Unfortunately Mr. X was there when it happened. The kitty’s mom was right there in the yard and this big strong dog had just grabbed the cat and was basically eating her, and she was screaming. The dog’s owner just stood there doing nothing. Mr. X ran outside in his pajamas and grabbed this dog and shook him around until he let go of her, it took so long that it was much too late. The dog just refused to let go and he was very strong. When he finally dropped the cat the girl and the dog disappeared. 

(I am so glad my sweetie didn’t get bitten. The whole thing is just horrible.)

He called me up practically hysterical and I rushed home. We helped our neighbor bury the kitty in her beautiful garden.

There was nothing we could do. We don’t know where this girl lives or if the dog was even hers, she didn’t seem to know how to control him at all and she was possibly on the phone while she was walking him. She could be anywhere with this dog. There are children in this neighborhood.

I am so angry.
